On October 28 at 8 p.m., Weird Music Productions is presenting a Halloween show at Brother’s Drake Meadery & Bar called “Weird O Ween.”
The show will feature bands Wed ZepWeen and Love Alive.
If you don’t get the pun, the former is a tribute band that combines the work of rock bands Led Zeppelin and Ween.
Wed Zepween are from Cleveland and consist of singer Eric Turner, guitarist Wib Schneider, bass player Scott Williams, keyboardist Michael Brokamp, and Rose Nero on vox.
The group formed after one jam session to truly demonstrate their love for the two great rock bands in a creative and experimental way.
Love Alive, a psychedelic rock/funk band from Columbus, coined their name after a famous quote by Jimi Hendrix which showcases their ’60s and ’70s influences. The band members include David Lurie, Trevor Edge, Kevin Hagans, William Carrick. At the show, they will do a tribute to alt rock singer Beck.
The show is $8 in advance, $10 at the door or $5 if you wear a costume. Or, if you’re smart, you’ll get a ticket in advance and wear a costume to get a $5 refund at the door!
We may be a little too old for trick-or-treating, but this event gives you a reason to dress up and get your spook on to some rockin’ live music.
